Event: Fundraiser for Francisco, Long-Time Immigrant Labor Leader, Under Attack- Portland, OR

Across the country, the capitalist class is intensifying its assault on immigrant workers through raids, detentions, and deportations meant to divide and control the working class. These attacks are not isolated. They are part of a system that keeps millions of immigrant workers exploited at a higher rate and living under constant threat. When the state targets immigrant workers, it targets the entire working class (Learn More).

Given these attacks and the necessity for solidarity, the Class Struggle Action Network (CSAN) calls on all workers and union members in the Portland, OR area to take part in the following event.

Event Name: United with Francisco

What: Show and raffle fundraiser for Francisco’s, long-time immigrant worker organizer, legal fund.

When: November 21st, Friday @ 7pm

Where: CORE- 3612 SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97266

Flyer can be viewed and downloaded here:

Organized by the Labor Committee to Defend Immigrants, this fundraiser is a critical moment for workers across Portland to stand together in solidarity with immigrant workers and together, as the working class.

For years, Francisco has faced ongoing harassment, intimidation, and deportation attempts from ICE. Francisco is a respected worker organizer, father, a Salvadoran refugee, a musician, and a leader of the fight for immigrant rights and working class power. His next immigration court hearing is approaching, and he urgently needs support for his legal defense. Learn more about Francisco and his story here.

CSAN is turning out for this event. As a network committed to class unionism, internationalism, and the defense of immigrant workers, we view this fundraiser as a crucial moment to demonstrate collective working class strength and solidarity.

Promotion is essential.
• Share the flyer in your group chats, unions, coworkers, and social media networks
