CSAN’s 2023 May Day event was a huge success! It was exciting to see workers come together on a day of immense historic importance to our class to learn about and discuss the uniting of our struggles into the formation of a class union.
On this May Day, we remember the power of the general strike to oppose imperialist war and to deliver on bread-and-butter class demands. Class Struggle Action Network openly calls for the labor movement to once again build toward a place where a general strike is on the table. We must develop the fighting capacity of existing workers’ organizations, and develop more where none exist. By connecting with other class unionists across industries and sectors we can begin to build this type of labor movement. Let’s start getting organized!
If you’d like to share the presentation on May Day history, the economic crisis, and class unionism with friends and co-workers who weren’t able to make it to Monday’s event, we’ve created a zine version you can download here: bit.ly/maydayzine
