Ahead of the looming UPS workers strike class unionist in both UPS and USPS began to organize a coordinated event to plan for solidarity actions between the two workplaces. A local member of UPS attended the CSAN May Day event. He decided to get more involved in the network, so they were put in contact with a USPS workers also in the network. After a meeting the two workers decided to bring to their unions and fellow workers a proposal to host a joint event along with the Class Struggle Action Network, where they will discuss developing a joint solidarity action. This event will bring these 2 groups together and have an event for them to discuss how they can function in solidarity across these 2 massive workplaces. The description for the events promotional material organized under CSAN reads
“UPS and USPS rank and file participants from the Class Struggle Action Network are coming together to discuss taking solidarity action. Postal workers have had our hands tied, unable to strike, so we must invest in ensuring the UPS fight is successful in setting the bar for our whole industry”
